Found in the book of Daniel in the Bible, Nebuchadnezzar was a Babylon king who had invaded Judah and took some captaives as servants. Among these were Daniel and his friends Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Daniel was able to interpet King Nebuchadnezzars dream which fore told of his downfall. The most well known story incwhich includes Nebuchadnezzar is in Daniel chapter 3, where Daniels friends refuse to bow down to a golden statue of the king. They are thrown into a fiery furnace because if their actions. Miraculously, God protects them and the emerge from the furnace completely unsinged.
