Involuntary female circumcision has been practiced for centuries in some places, and has included virtually all females. If someone from one of these places tells us that we Westerners have no business passing judgment on what his people do, and we should stop trying to interfere in this practice, he is urging us to embrace what ethical system?

    Ethical relativism.

    Explanation:

Ethical relativism refers to the theory which maintains that morality is relative to one's cultural norms. Whether an action is right or wrong, that is, depends on the moral standards of the society in which it is practiced. In one culture the same conduct may be morally correct but in another, it may be morally wrong. Ethical relativists do not believe in universal moral standards but each society should be judged morally according to its own moral standards.
