    The answer to this would be the last option: personal playing ability at a high level. This is not a requirement for coaches at different levels of competition. But, coaches should possess general coaching knowledge and competencies, skills, and coaching styles. The coach should be able to connect with their athletes at different levels so that he or she can bring out the best in them.
