A scientist places 22 mg of bacteria in a culture for an experiment and he finds that the mass of the bacteria triples every day. The mass of the bacteria in the culture on any given day is what percent of the mass of bacteria in the culture exactly one day prior?

    The answer is 300%.

    Explanation:

    The amount of bacteria of any given day will always be three times more than the previous day. Thus, it's possible to take the amount of bacteria as a whole (100%), and as triple (300%) in relation to the day before.

    Likewise, you could say that any given day the bacteria is 33.33% in relation to the next day.
