Why do you think women didn't vote back in the day?

This is only my interpretation of the reasons:

Back in the day many political decisions were decided by strength, either in direct fights, or through threats. Man have more strength but also are more "disposable" - women were needed to be protected to bear children. Because of this men were initially more active in politics - and voting rights was a legacy of this.

Well men were the superior back then and wemon were like henchmen.
