When we discuss the symbolic nature of language, we mean that words are arbitrary, assigned, and absolute?

    In terms of symbolic nature of language, the words are arbitrary. It is because arbitrary means that it is a choice that is random or base on the person itself in which it represents words for words for each individual are all different and hold different meanings to how they say and show it.
