    Social Exchange Theory was given by Thibault and kelly in 1959 which describes the relationship which is based on the terminology of profit (reward) and loss (costs). They believe that partner a; always deduct to the cost and like stress, anxiety, compromises, arguments, etc. and increase the rewards such as love, praise, sex, etc. according to sociologists, relationship work upon a proportional loss and benefits. If someone in a good love but if they want to leave each other then they work on social exchange theory. the relationship cost and benefits. Cost will change over time. If a person found more cost and fewer benefits then they decide to leave each other and move on.
