    Explanation: Conglomerate rock is a sedimentary rock that contains, as noted, fragments larger than 2 mm in diameter, called clusts. So the conglomerate is a coarse-grained rock where clusts can be rounded or sub angular. The clusts may be granules, gravel, cobblestones that are in the conglomerate bound by some of the cement binder materials. Most often they are bonded, cemented with calcium carbonate, iron oxide, clay, etc. In origin, conglomerates have a similar or the same type of structure as sandstones.
