Why did women not reject the imposition of patriarchal family structures?

I believe it's because women had be conditioned to see the current family structure as normal ever since they are little

Ever since we're children, we are used to see the families where the men become the main provider and acted as a leader within the family. Our brain tend to train us to perceive everything that we see constantly as a 'normal behaviour', so when we grow up with this perception, we tend to not develop any effort to change it.
