Dr. strayer is conducting longitudinal research on factors that correlate with getting older. she is most likely to find that: intelligence declines sharply with age. no matter how much older people practice their mental skills, they still do very poorly on intellectual tasks. there is severe memory impairment as people reach late adulthood. most people experience slight declines in their intellectual abilities as they age.

    The answer is: most people maintain their intellectual abilities as they age.

    But since the intellectual abilities are the cumulative of various brain capabilities, the difference that may arise as we got older would be the fact that our cognitive intelligence will started to decline but it would be switched with increasing amount of experience that also contribute to our overall intellectual abilities
