    No, you cannot rely on journalist to tell the truth always. There are multiple reasons behind this. First, the journalist might have some personal association or problem with the person or institution they are reporting about. Hence providing a biased report. Secondly, most media organizations are run by powerful people who have affiliations with certain political and business groups. Therefore, they might be looking to provide advantage to their supported group through their media outlet hence limiting the ability of the journalist to report a news in an unbiased way. Also, it is very possible that the journalist did not have the full story or proper information him or herself and reported it just to break the news before anyone else. Hence, there are a lot of reasons that you cannot rely on journalist to tell the truth always.
