The way i would lower the chance of accidents is to put a little go light at each opening. the reason is because you will be able to tell who goes first and how goes next. the second option would be to pay very close attention when people are driving because most people be in a hurry and really don't notice things. you could make a invention or pay very very close attention to your surroundings.
