Body cells need a constant supply of oxygen to function normally. Humans must maintain a blood oxygen level of 95-100% to allow their body cells to maintain homeostasis. Some illnesses can cause a persons blood oxygen level to be lower than the normal range. If a persons blood oxygen level is 92.4%, by what percent must it be raised to reach the low end of normal (95%) ?
