Hydroxide ions are negative
Explanation:
A hydroxide, OH - forms when water (H2O) is split into a positive Hydrogen (H+) ion and a negative Hydroxide (OH-) ion. OH - are present in bases and H + ions are present in acids. The process is called electrolysis.
