During the first 30 minutes of flight a jet climbs from the ground level to an altitude of about 43,000 ft. What is the jets rate of change in altitude during this time?

    30 times 60 = 1,800 seconds so therefore 43,000 ft / 1,800 = 0.04186047 ft/sec
