What happened following the decision in brown v. board of education

In the Brown vs. Board of Education court case, judges ruled educational segregation as unconstitutional because it violated the 14th amendment right of equal citizenship regardless of race. After this case, desegregation was put into place, and people began the fight of the equal rights movement.
