Your Car: We can find out how many gallons it would take by dividing 281 by 15. 281/15 = about 18.7 gallons (exact 18.733333 where 3 is repeating)

To find the cost you use this equation.

    3.75*18.7 = about 70.13 (exact 70.125)

if you split it you both would be paying about $35.10

Friend's Car: We can find out how many gallons it would take by dividing 281 by 25. 281/25 = 11.24 gallons

To find the cost use this equation.

    3.75*11.24 = 42.15

If you split it you both would be paying about $21.10

You save about $14 using your friend's car
