8 bits are there in a byte.

    Explanation:

In digital information, the size is identified by using byte. The byte is used to 'encode a single character' in the text of the computer. All the information is stored in the form of bits in a byte. A single byte consists of eight bits. Each and every character which is saved in the digital information can be stored in the form of bytes. Bytes are used to say how much information is stored. A 'bit' is the smallest unit where the information is stored.
