    That statement is true.

    The electron flow could resulted in a spark that might ignite explosion if it surrounded by flammable gas (such as methane or gasoline)

    This phenomenon was first popularized by a physicist named Micheal faraday who call this as "the beautiful flash of light attending the discharge of common electricity"
