The correct answer is - c. permeability.

The permeability is the ability of the soil to be able to transmit fluids through its pores and cracks. The higher the permeability, the more fluid can run through the soil, the lower the permeability, the fluid can run through the soil. The permeability is very important, as it enables the flow of the fluids through the soil thus not over-saturating just one part of it and cause erosion or landslides. The soils that have in their composition more sand, or more biomass, tend to have higher permeability, while the soils that have higher clay content tend to have lower permeability. The unit used for measuring the permeability is the millidarcies.
