As the kinetic energy of the molecule increases they tend to break away from each other thereby moving randomly as most gaseous molecules does.

    Explanation: adding energy to the system will cause the molecules within the jar to absorb more energy, this excitation will bring about more movement of the molecules and more collision between molecules. Also, the molecules will try to move further apart from themselves with increased degree of randomness.
