Mitosis allows for cells to produce identical copies of themselves. Body cells such as skin cells, hair cells, and bone cells go through this process. This is why your skin cells all look similar and function the same. Mitosis produces two daughter cells from one parent cell. This means the process is asexual. 1) What type of cells go through mitosis?
