How does Macbeth use dramatic irony to comment or Banquo's fate?

    Macbeth notes the dramatic irony of the situation. Banquo is the only other person who knows the prophesy of the witch in the first scene. The irony is, of course, that the person that Macbeth would eventually murder in order to keep the throne would be his foil, Banquo.
