The correct answer is - Charlemagne.

Perotin, Leonin, and Machaut were all well known and well established composers, but that is not something that Charlemagne did.

Charlemagne was a medieval leader of the Franks. He managed to make the Frankish Empire the largest, most influential, and strongest in Europe during his reign. Charlemagne was also a big Christian, so he used his power to strengthen the Christianity in the territory he controlled, but also outside of it through diplomatic means.

Charlemagne is one of the most famous people from the Middle Ages in Europe, if not the world, and he is one of the most respected historical figures in France.
