    Basically the Romans believed that the Rome was unequaled in wealth and power. Thus a lot of their art reflected that such as columned temples, heroic statue and imperial monuments all meant to showcase Romes greatness. Moreover the column of Trajan is a good example of this. In addition, Roman used art as decoration and to honor gods and other important deceased people.
