What are the different colored horizontal layers that we see in this photo of a wall in the grand canyon?

    I had to look for the options and here is my answer:

    The Grand Canyon is one of the most famous sites in the world that is located in U. S state of Arizona. We can see several colored horizontal layers in it and these are the sediments from the past that have been deposited in varying times. So those at the bottom are the oldest, while those at the topmost are the newest.
