In the digital vs. analog debate. Which one would be the answer? These are my choices.

it is generally agreed that digital audio is better than analog audio

it is generally agreed that analog audio is better than digital audio

ultimately you make the final decision on which format you prefer

it is unnecessary to consider the pros and cons of each system

    They both sound relatively the same. I own a record player (which plays analog audio) and I have a phone to play digital. Ultimately, it comes down to what the user prefers for what method. However, if you want to get really petty, look at the sound waves.

    Analog captures the actual sound wave, allowing for the truest sound experience. Digital captures a very close approximation; instead of "writing" the sound wave as a wavy, well, wave, it's more like a staircase mimicking the general shape of a sound wave.

    For the answer, I would go with your third listed option:

    "ultimately you make the final decision on which format you prefer"
