Which composer's works demonstrated how personal expression might break free of the forms characteristic of the Classical period, expanded the size of the orchestra, doubled the length of the symphony, gave music the "grand gesture," and perhaps most importantly demonstrated that pure sound could be glorious in and of itself?

    Explanation:

    Raised and in Bonn, Beethoven is. His musical ability became evident at a young age, but also his dad Johann van Beethoven originally learned him negatively and intensely. He has been afterward learned by Catholic Gottlob Neefe, the songwriter and soloist in whose schooling he released his first piece, a set of key board differences, in 1783.

    He sought refuge from a tumultuous life at home with Helene von Breuning's relatives, whose kids he kissed, had friendships with others and studied piano. He moved to Vienna at the age of 21 which later become his foundation, and practiced compositions with Haydn.
