What Mannerist characteristics does Parmigianino's painting Madonna with the Long Neck exhibit?

The Madonna with the Long Neck, an artwork by Parmigianino is a typical example of Mannerist style of painting. It features Virgin Mary cradling Child Jesus and with Angels. The Madonna seems twice the size in regard to angels on the right, which seem to be crammed together. The Child Jesus is also very large, and almost slipping away from Mary’s grasp. The painting evokes emotion and in doing so sacrifices descriptive proportions.
