The Masked dance drama of Rangda begins with a procession carrying the sacred mask from the temple to the village performance area. Men that take part in the dance drama enter trance. To symbolize the piercing of the mind to encounter divine madness what act do they do? a. They spin in a circle until they fall on the ground. b. They stab themselves with ceremonial daggers called krisc. They dance to work up a sweat and roll on the ground to coat their bodies with dirt. d. They spike their hair as part of the costuming and carry the mask in a trance like state.
