Ophelia is a work of art by British artistSir John Everett Millais, finished in the vicinity of 1851 and 1852. It is held in the Tate Britain in London. It delineates Ophelia, a character from William Shakespeare's play Hamlet, singing before she suffocates in a stream in Denmark.
