    The earliest paintings of South African art did indeed depict hunters and prehistoric animals, given that that was what surrounded the people who lived in the area at the time. They were a lot of hunting tribes in South Africa who survived by killing prehistoric animals they found in their surroundings, and this is what they documented through this type of early art.
