What famous artist oversaw the work of the parthenon frieze what does the frieze depict?

    It was the sculptor and architect Phidias. Not only did he supervise the works on Parthenon, but he also made one of the most famous statues ever, Zeus at Olympia. This statue was considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, but unfortunately, it no longer exists. Only scarce descriptions of it have survived, from a couple of written sources
