The answer is true. Also known as "Saint’s Play", It tells the story about real or fictional accounts on the lives of saints. It was developed during the 10th and 11th Century to enrich calendar festivities. It later grew independent of the church and were now presented at public festivals. Most of the surviving plays are about the Virgin Mary and the 4th Century Bishop of Asia Minor St. Nicholas. Because both had an active following during the Middle Ages and many believe in the healing power of saintly artifacts, these flourished.
