You'd use cheaper bullets for target practice, such as flat-nosed lead bullets, because you are only practicing to shoot, there isn't really a lot of activity going on there. If you were to really use a gun, in hunting or war, other bullets would be far more useful and normally people would opt for some other types rather than this one which is primarily used for target practice solely.
