    The digital color displays can result in 256 shades of each primary color, however in 24-bit digital color, each individual pixel is assigned by 24 bits, resulting in 16.7million colors; 8-bits - 1 byte - is assigned to each of the red, green, and blue parts of the pixel. It is through an additive color process, that the light merges the three colors to create different hues and tones, as the white light shines through each light cell, the desired color is input to the digital processor and the correct number of bits illuminate to create the exact match of the color.
