Assemblage can be taken as different from other sculptural practices in many ways. The one that seems most significant to me is the 'ready-made' aspect of it and the depth that gives to not only the conceptual and material practices. e. g the assemblage is of items and objects that usually have a history to themselves and tell their own story, which is utilised throughout assemblage art.
