Jill is always tired, has sluggish movements and appears to be depressed. she has gained weight and her skeletal muscles are weak. she often feels cold. what is a plausible cause for her problems?

    The answer is Hypothyroidism. This is caused by a faulty thyroid gland that is under active. This means it produce less thyroid hormone that is important in metabolism. Consequently, one is unable to regulate body temperatures, and production of proteins. Hypothyroidism can also predispose one to diabetes, and heart attacks.
