Individual health is influenced by both genetic inheritance and environmental factors. Some individuals who possess genetic risk factors will not develop those health issues because their environmental factors are not favorable towards developing the issues. Other individuals who do not possess the genetic risk factors may have such high environmental risk factors that they do develop those issues.
