Answer: B. is a blend of the genetic material of its parents

Sexual reproduction is where two distinct types of reproductive cells called gametes fuse together. They are known as egg or a female's large ovum and a male's sperm. Each gamete contains half the number of genetic materials or chromosomes of the organism. The two gametes fuse and their genetic material of parents blend during fertilization to produce DNA replication and the creation of a single-celled zygote which now includes genetic material from both gametes. The process of blending of genetic material of parents is called genetic recombination.
