The Johnson family has decided tottery to save electricity (and money at the same time). they were told that they could replace their regular light bulls with special fluorescent bulbs that use less energy they wonder if is really worth doing.

    the dependent variable is the amount of energy used

    the control variable is the special fluorescent bulbs

    the problem statement is "Will the special fluorescent bulbs use less energy than the regular light bulbs?"
