If you were to deny serving alcohol to a pregnant woman, you would be guilty of committing sexism or gender discrimination. Only women are capable of becoming pregnant, and in this case, you would be denying her alcohol simply because of something that is gender based.

Discrimination is the act of unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people on the grounds of race, age or sex. Denying a pregnant women alcohol by a bartender is a type of gender discrimination. It is illegal to deny a service to a woman just because they are pregnant as it would be considered a discrimination against gender.
