Is the tomato a fruit or a vegetable? Explain.

A tomato is a fruit though typically placed with vegetables because of it's savory rather than sweet, the reason this plant is a fruit is due to the fact that fruits are classified as foods specifically with seeds which come from plants.

Tomato is a fruit.
Fruits have seeds. Tomatoes have seeds. Therefore, tomatoes are a fruit.
