What would be a consequence to seabird biodiversity along the coasts if a major oil spill happened?

Evolution of the various species would accelerate to counteract the effects of the oil.

Oily feathers would prevent them from migrating to breeding and wintering sites.

The amount of food they gather underwater would keep them from reproducing.

The genetics of the oil would increase the overall gene pool.

I would say the third one: the amount of food they gather underwater would keep them from reproducing because if they can't reproduce then basically they are dead.
