DLH (domestic longhair cat) is more of a general title than a breed, it is often used for non-purebred cats with medium to long hair and they come in many colors and coat patterns.

    Answer: Option C

    Explanation:

Domestic long haired cats are generally available in all possible colors and coat patterns. They as usual in the process of natural selection obtained this trait when the genes were modified to produce long hair to protect them from extreme cold climate. This but is a recessive trait and hence when crossed with a short haired cat the offspring will surely have only short hair.

Hence a cross is done only between the long hair offspring to produce the long hair cat generation. In some long hair cats the hair grows so long that it cannot be tolerated by the cat itself hence a trimming is required to maintain its hair growth.
