    The modern day DNA profiling is different from the original DNA fingerprinting process is that it does not use the restriction enzymes to cut DNA.

    Explanation:

    Polymerase chain reaction is applied to break the DNA instead of the restriction enzymes in the DNA profiling. It is a sensitive method. This method used in paternity test and also for solving criminal cases. This is used on the hair root, skin cell, small amount of saliva or blood.

    Restriction enzymes is used in case of the DNA fingerprinting method. The accuracy depends upon the number of markers. If the number of markers are high, then the accuracy will be high too. This is a costly process. According to the nation DNA index system, 13 autosomal STR markers are needed, along with information of 10 loci maximum
