    True.

Ribosomes are organelles inside a cell made up of protein and ribosomal RNA (rRNA).

Ribosomes synthesize proteins by linking amino acids together. Some ribosomes float freely in the cytosol of a cell, while others bind to the endoplasmic reticulum.

Free ribosomes are those found floating freely in the cell cytosol. They mainly manufacture proteins needed for the cell's own use.

Bound ribosomes are found "bound" to the endoplasmic reticulum creating what is known as rough endoplasmic reticulum. Most of the proteins made by these bound ribosomes are transported outside the cell for use in other parts of the body.
