    Explanation:

    Data shows that presence or the absence of the continents and the islands provides evidence of the descent and shows us the specification of species. As the same species would be found in the same habitats that are capable of supporting a particular species in a geographical area as Africa or South America. Evidence have also been found in Australia that has marsupials like the kangaroos and quills that were not present in Africa and in small numbers in south America. Similarly, the fossils are found in areas know adjacent to each other and through the process of the continental drift, they diverged in wide geographical areas.
