    pH may be defined as the negative logarithm of the hydrogen ion concentration in the solution. The pH scale is used to determine the strength of the acids and base.

    pKa is the constant of the acid. pH is inversely proportional to the pKa. This means the strong acid has low pH and high pKa value. If the solution contains high pH this means that the acidity of the solution is low or it has high base. To neutralize the solution the conjugate base must be added that can neutralize the excess base or lowers the solution of pH.
