Option 3 separation of sister chromatid

Explanation: the separation of sister chromatid is present in meiosis and mitosis while 1,2,3,4 and 5 occurs only in meiosis. sister chromatid are held together by the centomere. They are usually an identical chromosome pair.

At anaphase stage of mitosis, chromatid separate where the centomere divide into two and each one moves towards the opposite of the spindle pole thereby pulling one chromatid.

In meiosis, separation of sister chromatid is at anaphase 2, it is quite similar to mitosis. In meiosis, sister chromatid separate directly from each other by the centomere splitting and each going into the opposite poles. The end stage of mitosis gives rise to 2 daughter cells while meiosis gives rise to 4 daughter cells.
